These terms apply to your use of Cubic Yards to Tons. You may use the free calculator for your own work and keep or share the calculation results it produces. Using the site means accepting these terms.

Check the material behind the number

Results are estimates based on your inputs and the selected density. The same volume can weigh differently with changes in product, moisture, particle size and packing. Reference densities and ranges describe their cited materials; they are not guarantees for your delivery.

Confirm the product density, units and quantity with your supplier before ordering. An allowance adds material but does not model compaction. Quote comparisons exclude delivery charges and taxes, and the load estimate considers entered weight capacity only. It does not assess vehicle volume, axle limits, safe loading or legal transport requirements.

A calculation aid, with limits

I aim to make the formulas accurate and the assumptions clear, but errors, outdated references and software faults can occur. The site is provided as available and as is, without a promise of uninterrupted access or fitness for a particular job. It does not replace a supplier’s specification, measured quantity or qualified engineering or transport advice.

You are responsible for checking inputs and assessing whether a result suits your use. To the extent permitted by applicable law, I do not give additional warranties about the site or its results. Nothing in these terms removes rights or remedies that the law does not allow to be excluded.

Use the tool responsibly

Use the website lawfully. Do not disrupt its availability, attempt unauthorized access or use automated requests that interfere with other visitors. Source material linked from the site belongs to its respective owners; a reference does not imply their endorsement.

Changes and contact
